What we believe

The childcare industry is built on the people who show up every morning before the sun does. The owners and directors who carry the weight of payroll, ratios, parents, and a hundred small decisions a day. They deserve advice that has done it, not just read about it.

We coach the person, design the plan, and deploy the systems. In that order. Because no system fixes a leader who's burnt out, and no plan survives a director who hasn't been developed.

Jacob Jensen

Founder / Coach

Hey, I'm Jacob! I'm the Executive Director of The Learning Station, where I lead three centers in the Myrtle Beach and Conway area. I grew up in this industry, learned the business from every angle, and now spend most of my time helping our team build something that lasts. For the last few years, I've also coached childcare owners and directors, mostly the ones trying to think bigger about their business while still running it day to day. My thing is leadership, operations, systems, and using AI to take the messy parts of running a center and make them simple. Off the clock, I'm at home with my wife Alicia and our two boys, Banx and Jax, who run the place!

Donna Jensen

Founder / Coach

Hi, I'm Donna! I've been in childcare for over 40 years and I still love it as much as I did the day I started. I began as a classroom teacher and studied early childhood education, then moved to South Carolina and opened my own in-home program when I realized the quality of care I wanted didn't exist where I was. After several years as director of a large local program, I opened The Learning Station, which has now been serving families on the coast for more than 20 years. I've also spent the last several years coaching childcare owners and directors across the country, where I've happily earned the title of "onboarding queen" for my obsession with culture, family experience, and turning every tour into a yes. I live in Myrtle Beach with my husband Jeff, our four sons, and a growing tribe of grandkids who keep life loud and full.
